      The Plymouth County Democratic League is committed to excellence. It is our responsibility to provide leadership and give support to the Democratic Party as much as we possibly can.  In recent years, the Plymouth County Democratic League has led or participated in many successful events from Candidate Nights and opportunity for candidates to speak at our events during several Breakfast’s, Dinner’s, and Summer Outing that are scheduled throughout the seasons. We gather for information dissemination and Democratic Candidate support. We are excited to list the following events The League will be participating in over the upcoming [DAYS / MONTHS / 2007/2008]. July 12, 2008 Saturday 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM, Middleborough DTC Twelfth Annual Summer Cookout at the Elks Lodge 24   High Street Downtown Middleborough.  12:00 Noon Shrimp cocktail, Cheese platter, 1:00 PM Burgers and Hot Dogs All you can eat. July 12, 2008 Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00 AM - Wareham Village Association to hold its Annual Swan Festival at the  Back of Maine Street. The Wareham DTC will have a visibility Table for Voter Registration and Promotion of the DTC.

July 20, 2008 Sunday 12:00 Noon Annual PCDL / Wareham  DTC, Lobster and Chicken Cookout at Dudley L. Brown VFW Onset, MA. Lobster $30, Chicken $20 RSVP contact Bob Joy (508) 295-1538. See Flyer in June Newsletter for menu details.

July 24, 2008 Thursday 6:30 PM, The Committee to Elect Bob Toomey for Governor’s Council will hold a fundraiser at the Abington VFW Post , 30 Central Street in Abington. August 22, 2008 Friday 6:00 PM, PCDL Thanks Labor Cookout and Francis X. McKeown Award at IBEW #223 Union Hall 111 Rhode Island Road (Route #79) Lakeville, MA 02347. Legislatures, PCDL members, Union Members and All are  invited to show support for Labor. The Award Recipient’s are Plymouth Bristol Labor Council President Kathleen Manson & Laborer’s Local Union #721 Business manager James Houston Guest Speaker TBA.

September 6, 2008 Saturday The Carver Democratic Town Committee announces its 5th Annual Craft Fair/Flea Market to   be held on Saturday September 6th, 2008 at Shurtleff Park, Carver Center, between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm. Rain date is Saturday September 13. Proceeds from this annual event help fund our Carver High School Scholarship program. September 12, 2008 Friday 7:00 PM, Plymouth County Democratic League, Brockton Democratic City Committee, and Brockton International Association of Fire Fighters Local Union #144 will sponsor a “Candidates Night” at the Brockton Fire Fighters Local Union #144 Hall All Democratic Candidates are invited to attend.
